In the fall of 2021, amidst the ongoing pandemic, many families like ours sought a much-needed escape. One popular destination in our area that offered both education and entertainment was the Museum of Science and Industry or MSI Chicago. Being in close proximity, our family saw this as an opportunity to enjoy a quick pandemic getaway while still adhering to safety guidelines.
The Museum of Science and Industry is known for its interactive exhibits and engaging displays. Being there provided our family with a perfect blend of learning and leisure. The girls eagerly explored the captivating exhibits that ranged from space exploration to technological innovations, all while following mask mandates and social distancing measures. This ensured a safe environment for us, the girls, and everyone around us to enjoy the experience.
It was not our first time at MSI. It was just one of our several regular visits there. As a family, we love to spend time in museums, parks, libraries, historical landmarks or any place where we could learn and at the same time enjoy our time together. Our family is fortunate to be rooted in a place with so many learning resources. Chicago is such a beautiful city with so much to offer its residents and visitors.
The autumnal ambiance of Chicago added to the charm of our family’s getaway. The colorful leaves falling gently from trees created a picturesque backdrop as we strolled along the museum’s expansive outdoor spaces. The cool breeze from Lake Michigan and the mild Fall temperatures enhanced the joy of the visit, allowing us to fully relax and make memories.
Inside the museum, the girls marveled at the hands-on exhibits that ignited their curiosity and encouraged them to learn about science and technology in an interactive and engaging manner. We were delighted to see Esperanza and Yzzabella exploring, asking questions, and engaging with the displays, making the trip not just enjoyable but also educational.
We definitely enjoyed some snacks and meals from the food court that we took outside to eat in order to follow safety protocols. The museum staff ensured that sanitation and cleanliness were maintained at all times, giving parents like Santi and myself peace of mind.
